About Us:

Eighteenth Street Development Corporation (ESDC) envisions Pilsen and the Lower West Side of Chicago as a vibrant center of sustainable commercial and industrial activity, offering safe modern housing, and a diversity of employment opportunities. The ESDC has served the Pilsen community on the Lower West Side of Chicago in Cook County, Illinois for over 36 years and looks forward to adding to its legacy.

The ESDC will work with businesses to empower them to grow. It will also work to attract fast growing businesses by leveraging the community’s assets: an ideal central location, rich in culture and arts, delicious food/restaurants, a close proximity to world class universities and medical district, in a Hubzone, with resources like TIF, SBIF, and Federal Empowerment programs.
