Sweet Treats at the Pilsen Community Market! Scones by Beurrage This week at the market we will have three of Chicago's tastiest treat-makers all in one spot! We usually do, actually--but maybe you didn't even know it! Read on for a bit about some of our very talented vendors... Beurrage is a small-scale bakery headed by a sole, dedicated artisan. Though their passion for baking is longstanding, they are a brand new business, eager to serve Chicagoans world-class bread, pastry, and viennoiserie. And boy do they! Drop Jeff and Isaiah a line this Sunday--in between mouthfuls of melt-in-your-mouth pastries. Make sure to stop here first, these guys always sell out! Sweet Petite is a dessert company that transforms creative flavor combinations into tiny tarts. Dawn completed the L’art de la Pâtisserie program at The French Pastry School where she learned traditional French methods using simple yet high-quality ingredients. With the encouragement of family and friends, she established Sweet Petite in Chicago and has been baking her little tart out ever since. A bi-weekly vendor at the Pilsen market for the last couple years, Dawn graces our space with perfectly-sized pies.

Puffs of Doom, a returning market favorite, offers locally-made, artisanal cream puffs at multiple (more than you can count on both hands!) markets, festivals, and fairs--including Lollapalooza this weekend! Congratulations to Rebecca and Luke (Ms. and Mr. Doom) on hitting the music festival food vendor jackpot! You won't get to speak with them this Sunday, but one of their many devotees will be holding down the fort in Pilsen, so make sure to try one of their fantastic flavors! And of course, to balance out the sweets, we will have our weekly yoga class starting at 9:30am. Email Mariel Castillo at MarielVictoriaYoga@gmail.comwith any questions, concerns, or to find out where else you can catch one of her classes. If you haven't yet, come by with your mat this week to stretch it out! See you Sunday!
